Kelly received her Bachelor of Arts in political science from West Virginia University in 1991. She graduated summa cum laude and was a member of America’s most prestigious honor society, Phi Beta Kappa.  In 1994, Kelly graduated from the West Virginia University College of Law. She was Editor of Articles for the West Virginia Law Review and was published in the 1994 Coal Edition.

Kelly has spent over 24 years practicing law in West Virginia, representing clients in various areas of the law. Kelly has recovered millions of dollars for clients who have been injured by the negligence of others.
