WV Personal Injury, Malpractice, Consumer Protection, and Criminal Defense Cases
When negligence or wrongdoing by someone else results in an injury or harm to you or your loved one, you need an attorney who understands—and cares about—the difficulties you are facing. The same is true when you are accused of a crime and need the services of a WV criminal defense attorney.
A Career of Service to the Law and the People of WV
When Traci began her legal education at the West Virginia University (WVU) College of Law, her intention was to become a tax attorney. However, while participating in mock trials, she learned that her true passion was found inside the courtroom; she structured her path forward accordingly.
Early in her legal career, Traci served as a public defender in the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Clarksburg, WV. After this work as a WV criminal defense attorney, at age 33, she became the Chief Assistant Prosecutor in the Harrison County Prosecutor’s Office. Traci served there for four years, mentoring and supervising attorneys, training law enforcement, and prosecuting crimes of all levels.
After a few years in private practice, Traci returned to the Harrison County Prosecutor’s Office. In 2016, she accepted the position of Supervisory Assistant US Attorney with the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of WV. Her years of experience working closely with law enforcement have provided invaluable insight into the legal process that she now uses in her work at the Law Offices of Kelly R. Reed.
For Attorney Traci M. Cook, It’s Personal
When Traci is not in the courtroom or the office, you will find her on the water, kayaking or paddleboarding with her golden retriever by her side. She is also an avid supporter of animal rescue groups. While she enjoys this precious free time, Traci has largely dedicated her life to her legal service.
Whatever your legal situation, your attorney must recognize and appreciate the magnitude of the results of the pending legal issue on your life. Traci will take the time to discuss your legal and personal situation and find the best possible path forward for you and your family, rather than offering a one-size-fits-all legal solution.
Putting Experience to Work as a WV Personal Injury, Malpractice, and Criminal Defense Lawyer
Traci’s experience on both sides of the courtroom in state and federal legal cases of all kinds is invaluable when it comes to representing clients in a variety of legal matters. When you need criminal defense or an attorney to represent you in a WV personal injury, malpractice, or consumer protection case, Traci M. Cook will stand by your side and fight for you.
